How is the Race to the Bottom Doing?

Thursday, November 1, 2007 at 11:00AM For those interested in this kind of thing, The Race to the Bottom (which only began at the end of January), had a record number of hits in the month of October, with 52,503 hits registered on the Blog's internal counter (this compares, for example, with 22,737 in May). In general, that means we receive somewhere around 2000 hits a day during the week and 1000 on Saturday and Sunday (when there are often no posts). The total number of hits so far for the ten or so months of operations is around 300,000. This total does not include those who read the posts as part of the Securities Mosaic newsletter that goes out to approximately 10,000 lawyers.
For law blogs with a specific substantive thrust, this is, we think, a high level of success. We also think it reflects the interest in, and need for, a substantive law blog that has a more investor/shareholder orientation. As the first law blog to involve a faculty-student collaboration and the first to cover a trial, we have been, and will continue to be, a source of innovation and unique content. There are more innovations coming. Stay tuned.
