Reforming the SEC: The Latest from the Inspector General

The Inspector General has published a report making recommendations on reforms at the Commission in the wake of the Madoff scandal.  The report is here.  The changes are internal, modest, and, in some respects, likely to already be in place.  A separate report contains a list of recommendations for reform of the Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations.  The recommendations go to the inspection process, training, and resources.  Unaddressed is whether the separate existence of OCIE should be maintained.
